Pomeranian
Classified as a Toy dog, Pomeranians originated from Poland and eastern Germany, and became popular throughout Central Europe. The breed's popularity exploded in the mid 1800's when Queen Victoria of the UK and many other royal leaders took ownership of this toy dog. Pomeranians are typically identified by their small but sturdy appearance, long fluffy coat and short, flat-sitting tail. They are very attentive and while not agressive, can sometimes bark exessively at other dogs to try to prove themselves. Pomeranians are very extroverted dogs and require a lot of attention and some training for them to feel satisfied and keep from becoming stubborn or over-dominant.
