Mr. Max Hartenstein, owner of Plavia Kennel, Plauen, Germany, was a worldwide known breeder and his French bulldogs contributed importantly to the formation of the breed at the end of 19th and in the begining of 20th century both in Europe and in the USA. I believe his bloodlines will be discovered and mapped by WPD contributors soon and will enrich the history of French bulldogs here, at the WPD.
